tips for your first visit
We know this may be tough, but just know every child has their own way of transitioning and we are here to make the process as smooth as possible. by using these tips, you can help your child be excited to come learn and be independent from parents.
five tips to help your little angels adjust better from your home to ours
have them learn how to self-entertain or self-play. do this by leaving them in a safe place with toys or an activity and walk away to create healthy boundaries from one another. start with 5 minutes and work your way up to 15.
talk with them about daycare. bring up fun activities and things they may like to encourage them to want to be here and to build a healthy correlation with day care.
Take them to a park or group setting and let them play alongside other kids while watching from a distance to promote independence with friends!
Spend at least 10 to 20 minutes of uninterrupted time with each of your children per night. Set a timer and do whatever they want within that time. it will allow them to get the one-on-one time that they need and allow you to get other things done after the timer goes off. We also use a timer here for transitioning so this will help them understand how it works.
Buy a new stuffed animal or blanket that they can bring with them to daycare so that nap times can be easier. Spray with mom or dads perfume to help ease your child and feel a sense of home at the daycare.
